On 15 December 2025, at 5:30 p.m., two lectures will be held at the Museum of Civil Engineering, located in the Civil Engineering Pavilion of Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. The event is organised as part of the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Portuguese Society for Studies in Construction History (SPEHC).

The lectures will focus on the theme “The History of the Construction of Instituto Superior Técnico” and will be delivered by the following speakers:

· Duarte Pacheco: Life, Work, and Context

Ana Silva Rigueiro (Rectorate of the University of Lisbon)

· Instituto Superior Técnico: The First Public Work by Duarte Pacheco

Sandra Vaz Costa (Cultural Heritage, I.P.)

The event is organised by SPEHC and CERIS – Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability, Instituto Superior Técnico. It also has the support of the Rectorate of the University of Lisbon, Cultural Heritage, I.P., FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology, and CIAUD – Research Centre for Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon.
