Research

Scientific research represents a very important part of DECivil's activity, being organized into two research centers (CERIS and CITUA), oriented, respectively, to the issues of (i) Structural and Construction Engineering, Hydraulics and Water Resources and Urban and Regional Systems, (ii) Architecture and Urbanism. These centres maintain a very significant range of activities in connection with multiple international partners, being generally recognized for the quality of their participation. Their scientific production is formally evaluated by international panels, in a process conducted by the Foundation for Science and Technology, having been ranked at the best national levels within their respective specialties.
