Fórum Civil organizes 7th Under Construction edition

Until October 2, Fórum Civil is hosting the 7th edition of Under Construction, an event designed to welcome new students and offer everyone the opportunity to explore the many fields within Civil Engineering in detail.
On September 18, the Da Vinci Bridge was erected for the first time — a structure inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s sketches. Standing 3.3 meters tall and spanning 6 meters, the bridge was built using only 26 wooden beams supplied by Jular Madeiras — without nails or glue, relying solely on joinery and engineering. The bridge will be on display in the Civil Engineering Garden until September 25.
Throughout these two weeks, participants will be able to explore the world of Civil Engineering through a dynamic and diverse program. Activities include the symbolic construction of the Da Vinci Bridge, technical visits to relevant sites, hands-on workshops to develop new skills, and social events such as barbecues to foster interaction between students and professionals.
Under Construction aims not only to introduce students to the various career paths available in Civil Engineering but also to provide direct contact with professionals and real-world cases — helping to prepare them for future challenges.
Until October 2, participants can join in a variety of engaging activities designed to make the experience even more enriching and fun. The week of September 22 to 29 is packed with technical visits, workshops, and relaxing moments, ensuring a complete and memorable experience.
