Fórum Civil celebrates record participation in the XI Jornadas de Civil

The Fórum Civil annually organizes the Jornadas de Civil, an event that brings together students, teachers and companies with with the aim of promoting the training of students and placing them at the center of the discussion.

Between February 26th and March 1st, the XI edition of this event took place at the IST Civil Pavilion. This edition was marked by a significant increase in the number of participating companies and the number of activities.

In a total of 26 activities (2 challenges, 9 special events, 9 technical visits, 6 conferences), many topics were discussed: the future and challenges of the industry, female representation in it, the transition from college to market are some examples. The technical visits were marked by a visit to the construction of Drainage Tunnels in the City of Lisbon, the COPA Cool Living Residential Building and the construction of Campo Novo, both in Alvalade.

46 companies in the sector invested in students at Instituto Superior Técnico and were present this week, particularly at the Business Fair, such as a Alphalink - Gestão de Projetos, MAPEI Portugal, Quadrante, JETsj, FUNDEC, San Jose Constructora, Teixeira Duarte, TPF Consultores, PLACER, among others.

During the week, students from the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Universidade do Algarve and Universidade Nova de Lisboa, highlighting the national dimension and relevance of the event.

Alumni Talks with the theme "The transition from College to the Job Market", with alumni Francisco Garcia (Alphalink), André Henriques (JETsj), Tiago Ferrito (Grupo Teixeira Duarte), Nuno Marques (San Jose) and Tiago Pereira ( Quadrante).
