On November 28, at the Técnico Innovation Center, Instituto Superior Técnico held the contract-signing ceremony for 66 new career faculty members and researchers. This reinforcement marks a significant step in the School’s ongoing renewal and in consolidating its scientific, pedagogical, and innovation capacity.

The integration of these new professionals has a direct impact on the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment (DECivil), enabling it to expand its educational offering, diversify areas of expertise, and strengthen the research groups that contribute to advancing knowledge in the various fields of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental studies.

During the ceremony, IST’s leadership highlighted the importance of people in the growth and identity of Técnico, stressing the need for teaching practices aligned with present and future challenges, as well as the value of interdisciplinarity and scientific innovation.
