DECivil professors visit Colégio Manuel Bernardes

Two DECivil teachers visited Colégio Manuel Bernardes, in Quinta dos Azulejos - Paço do Lumiar, Lisbon, on November 8th.

Professors Luís Guerreiro and Filipa Ferreira presented various aspects of civil engineering to an audience made up of around 90 Science and Technology students, answering questions such as “What do civil engineers do?” and pointing out the future challenges that today's society faces, such as population growth, resilience to natural disasters, adaptation to climate change and the sustainability of the built environment.
