Architect Francisco Costa to Present “Gran Circus Urbanus XXI” Conference at the DECivil Museum

Next Thursday, October 2nd, at 12:00 PM, architect Francisco (Xico) Costa will deliver a lecture at the DECivil Museum titled Gran Circus Urbanus XXI. The presentation will focus on his experience with associative processes in architectural and urban research, with special emphasis on the Gran Circus Urbanus XXI project, recently published as a book.
The event will be accompanied by an exhibition in the pavilion’s atrium, showcasing excerpts from the book. This is a valuable opportunity to hear insights from a professional with extensive experience in architecture, urbanism, and heritage in both Brazil and Spain.
Francisco (Xico) Costa is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and coordinates the Urban Visions Research Group. He holds a PhD from ETSAB – Barcelona and specializes in visual resources and urban history. He conducted research at ETSAB and collaborated with Estudio Hernández-Cros & Asociados for 15 years. In Brazil, he worked as an architect in public institutions focused on heritage and urban planning. At UFBA, he coordinated both the undergraduate program in Architecture and the Master's in Architecture and Urbanism. He is currently also a professor at the Federal University of Paraíba.
