These awards aim to contribute to the encouragement of students in Civil Engineering, Architecture and Spatial Planning and Urbanism courses to obtain a solid training in the scientific areas in which the awards fall.

ARQUITETO ÁLVARO MACHADO AWARD

Award in the area of Architecture for students of the Integrated Master in Architecture and involving the classification of all subjects of the course.

PROFESSOR ALBERTO ABECASIS MANZANARES AWARD

Award in the area of Hydraulics, Environment and Water Resources for undergraduate and Master's students in Civil Engineering and involving the classifications obtained in the subjects of Hydraulics I, Hydraulics II, Hydrology and Water Resources, and Sanitation.

PROFESSOR EDGAR CARDOSO AWARD

Award in the area of Bridges and Special Structures for Master's students in Civil Engineering and involving the classifications obtained in the subjects of Bridges and Structural Design, and other subjects taken at IST in the area of Structures.

PROFESSOR JOÃO ARMÉNIO CORREIA MARTINS AWARD

Award in the area of Structural Mechanics and Structures, in particular in the field of Computational Mechanics, aimed at students of the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and involving the classification of the Master's dissertation.

PROFESSOR MANUEL DA COSTA LOBO AWARD

Award in the area of Urban Planning, Planning and Spatial Planning, aimed at students of the Masters in Spatial Planning and Urbanism (carried out and supervised at IST), Civil Engineering (Urbanism, Transport and Systems profile), Environmental Engineering, Architecture, and others related master's degrees, which demonstrate a solid scientific and technical training demonstrated by the master's theses carried out on the subject.
