The Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) will host the XXII International Conference on Building Pathology and Construction Repair (CINPAR 2026), which will take place from 15 to 17 July 2026, with abstract submissions open until 31 January 2026.
The event will bring together researchers, experts, and leading professionals in the fields of structural pathology and construction rehabilitation.
The conference scope covers a wide range of topics related to structural pathology and rehabilitation, including the assessment of the structural behaviour of existing buildings, the physical and mechanical characterisation of materials, geometric analysis, and the development of rehabilitation and strengthening strategies. These areas have seen significant advances, driven by increased investment in the rehabilitation sector and the introduction of new materials and methodologies.
CINPAR 2026 will provide a privileged forum for critical analysis, knowledge sharing, and scientific debate, with the participation of internationally renowned experts, contributing to the advancement of research and professional practice.

Founded in 2003 at the Vale do Acaraú State University, under the leadership of Professor Francisco Carvalho, the CINPAR conference has established itself over more than two decades as an international forum of excellence for scientific and technical discussion in these fields. Over its 21 editions, the event has taken place in countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Chile, Italy, and Turkey, consolidating its international character.
